POMATO at SENTIATECH: Strengthening Links between Research, Industry and Innovation
On 29 January 2026, the University of Burgos (UBU) represented the POMATO project at SENTIATECH, a national clustering event held in Madrid that brought together stakeholders from science, industry, technology, public organisations and policy.
During the event, the UBU research team showcased its work through a dedicated booth, presenting both national and European projects, including POMATO. The team shared innovative research approaches and engaged in discussions with key actors across the innovation ecosystem, with a strong focus on collaboration opportunities and real-world impact.
SENTIATECH provided an excellent forum to:
disseminate POMATO objectives and ongoing activities,
present research addressing plant health and sustainable crop protection,
exchange ideas with representatives from industry, academia, technology providers and policymakers,
and explore future collaborations at national and European levels.
The event gathered around 140 participants, representing input-related industry, research and academic institutions, technology and innovation sectors, and policy and regulatory bodies. As part of the dissemination activities, POMATO project brochures were distributed on-site, supporting direct engagement and follow-up discussions with interested stakeholders.
Participation in events such as SENTIATECH underlines POMATO’s commitment to clustering, knowledge exchange and stakeholder engagement, helping to bridge research and practice and to strengthen the project’s visibility within the broader innovation landscape.
