Polish Seed Trade Association (Polska Izba Nasienna)

PIN

Polish Seed Trade Association (PIN) is a chamber of commerce for the seed industry in Poland. Currently it brings together 88 national and foreign affiliates for agricultural, vegetable and fruit seeds.  PIN Potato Section gathers companies that share more than 90% of potato seed market in Poland.

Members breeding, seed companies and distributors of potato seed material, work together for the development and implementation of biological progress into agricultural practice. One of the association purposes is the maintenance of phytosanitary safety, especially regarding the Clavibacter occurrence in Poland.

The main role for PIN in POMATO project will be the communication of the project with the outside world, especially the potato sector in Poland. We will use our network of contacts regarding national authorities, local organizations and farmers to promote the project and its outcome. Via members and contacts with other associations we will be able to reach all of the stakeholders related to the potato value chain.

“Increasing the efficiency of agricultural production by using the biological potential due to increasing the use of certified material.“
