IHAR is a modern, opinion-forming, Polish R&D national institute with a multidisciplinary area that coordinates scientific research in the field of agriculture especially breeding and seed production of plants, improvement of cultivation technology, biotechnology as well as protection and improvement of germplasm, actively participating in national and international cooperation with scientific and industrial units, dynamically adapts to new directions, with an attractive scientific, development, implementation, service, and dissemination offer.
It consists of 17 R&D points, 6 research centers, 6 experimental stations and 5 plant breeding companies.
The main role of the IHAR team in POMATO will be to provide Cs strains and potato varieties for GR studies, develop I-matrix for bacteria isolation (WP2) and perform field validation studies of Cs on potatoes in WP5 (CS#4 Leader).
